't Groen Waterke is one of the many idyllic spots of Mechelen. The stream thanks its name to the water surface which is covered in duck weed. It is actually a remnant of the flow 'Melaan" which wasn't covered. You can really feel the old tranquility of the city here. You are also very close to the Refugie of the abbey of Sint-Truiden and the Refugie of the abbey of Tongerlo. You can look at 't Groen Water from the Ankerbrug, which is easily accessible via the sidewalk.
